CAREERS AT FARMWAY TRADING LIMITED
Farmway employ approximately 150 people throughtout the North East of England ranging from Alnwick in Northumberland to Driffield in East Yorkshire. The divisions of Farmway are made up as follows:-
Throughout this area there are 9 country stores selling everything from wellies to animal feeds. Each store has a Branch Manager and a Deputy Manager and several Retail and Warehouse Assistants. The stores are overseen by 2 Area Managers. Our staff in country stores are trained in customer service and we are currently working towards NVQ Level 2 in Customer Services and Warehousing. Farmway offer a full development programme for all country store staff. The Country Stores sales are in excess of £10m per annum. A team of Buyers for the Country Stores is based at Piercebridge, Co. Durham.
The company operates a direct sales force operating throughout the North East and North Yorkshire. Sales staff are trained to industry standards in the selling of all agricultural commodities.
To support the direct sales force, a Customer Services Department based at the company’s Business Support Unit at Piercebridge is operated by people experienced in commodities such as Seed, Animal Feed, Agrochemicals and Fertiliser.Business Support Unit - Piercebridge
The Company’s Head Office is based at Piercebridge, Co. Durham and incorproates a number of functions including; Finance, IT and HR. The site at Piercebridge also has a Central Warehouse and Distribution function as well as a Seed Processing Plant and a Grain Intake Facility of 40KT.
